APPLICATION ARE INVITED FOR THE POST OF VIDYUT SAHAYK (JUNIOR ENGNIEER - ELETRICAL ) UNDER PGVCL FORM THE ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES FROM GENERAL (UR), SC, ST, EWS AND PH CANDIDATES AS FOLLOWS:

Fixed Remuneration for:-

1st year Rs.37000/-, 2nd year Rs. 39000/-, 3rd Year 39000/-, 4th Year Rs. 39000/-, 5th Year Rs. 39000. No other allowance or benefits would be admissible. Reimbursement of TA/DA as per GSO-333 dated 03.12.2003

Scope of Career Development / Prospective :-

 The selected candidate shall be appointed initially for the period of five years as Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Engineer) and may be considered for appointment to the post of Junior Engineer on regular establishment, in the pay scale of Rs. 45400-101200/- subject to satisfactory completion of five years as Vidyut Sahayak.

Required skill:-

The candidate should possess knowledge of Computer Operations. - Good command over English and Gujarati Language.

Qualification:-

Full time B.E. (Electrical) / B.Tech (Electrical) in regular mode from recognized University duly approved by UGC/AICTE with minimum 55% in 7th& 8th semesters without ATKT.

Age Criteria;-

For Unreserved Category : 35 years and, For Reserved Category (ST/SC/EWS): 40 years on the date of advertisement. (18 / 08 / 2021)

General terms and conditions:-

The Candidates are requested to carefully read the terms and conditions states below:-

  1. Candidates are required to submit online application only.
  2. The candidates shortlisted for written / online test of their "online application" shall not be required to submit photocopies of all the relevant certificate at present. The photocopies of all the relevant certificates shall be submitted as and when required and subsequently, the original certificates for verification as and when required.
  3. The management reserve the right to short-list, select and reject any list at any candidates for written / online test as the case may be for selection.
  4. The management reserve the right to cancel the selection list/ waiting list any time as its sole discretion, without assigning any reason thereof.
  5. Filing up the post is at the discretion of management based on suitability of candidates. The management in all matters relating to eligibility acceptance or rejection of the application made shall be final and management will not entertain any enquiry or correspondence in this regard.
  6. Person with Disability mentioned as above can apply and shall have to submit valid certificate of civil surgeon, indicating existing percentage of disability. Their application will be considered as per rules of the company.
  7. The candidates who have been given grades in their result (graduation/post-graduation) shall have to submit a certificate issued by their university / institute specifying percentage of the last year / last two semester equivalent to the grades obtained by them along with decimals.
  8. The candidates working in the government / semi government or PSU organization shall have to produce "NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE" from the concerned organization failing which, their appointment order shall stand cancelled.
  9. If the selected candidates is working in any company or organization, he/she shall have to produce relieving letter from the previous employer at the time of resuming their duty, failing which their appointment order shall stand cancelled.
  10. Minimum 60% of representation in selection will local of gujarat state as per GR dtd. 31.03.95. Candidate shall have to submit the Domicile certificate of being resident gujarat state if he/she claims appointment under 60% quotas.
  11. Mere submission of the application does not guarantee the adequacy of the candidature for being considered for the further selection process.
  12. The tentative syllabus for the the exam will be including but not limited to the following topics/ares and emphasis could differ

There will be five selection in multiple choice question paper having approximate weightage for each selection as under:

section 1:- General Knowledge 10%

section 2:- English Language 10%

section 3:- Electrical Engineering* 60%

section 4:- Computer knowledge 10%

section 5:- Gujarati Language & Grammar 10%

*Note: Section 3 may include topics like:

  • Switchgea & protection (MC/LV) & LT Switchgear design and testing etc.
  • Distribution HT/LT Line parameters.
  • Low Voltage constraint & resolving thereof.
  • Non-conventional Energy sources like Wind, Solar, Biomass etc.
  • Present Power Sector scenario in India and others Electrical Engineering topics etc.
  • Performance of line fault analysis.
  • Measurement of Electrical power.
  • function of capacitors & reactors.
  • Power Engineering.
  • Distribution Network Installation & load studies.
  • Analysis of Dist. Transformers, Meters & Testing.
 "The question paper will be in English language only"
  • The question paper for the exam shall be consisting of 100 questions and the paper shall be of 100 marks. There shall be negetive marking system and 1/4 th mark each wrong answer shall be deducted to arrive at total marks scored.
  • If the application received in large number, then examination schedule to be held in multiple batches and candidates' score will be as per normalisation methodology before result declaration.
  • As per GSO-3 the minimum eligibility cut off marks for selection will be 50 and above marks for unreserved candidates and 45 and above for reserved candidates. However, the selection will be made purely on the basis of merit considering vacancies and reservation rules. 
  • 05% marsk (of secured marks in exam ) over and above actual marks secured shall be added in case of widow female candidates. The widow female candidates, if remarried shall not be given advantage of grace of 5% Marks. Further , widow candidate shall categorically state so and inform if she is remarried with necessary documentry proofs. 
  • While preparing selection list, of two or more candidates found with equal Marks in exam, they will be kept in merit according to their date of birth i.e. elder will be kept in priority to younger and if date of birth is also found same, then they will be kept in priority to alphabet  seniority of name. The selection list as and when required as per vacancy position shall be drawn form the result published. The result published shall be valid for the period of one year from the date of publication. 
  • In case of name or caste differ due to marriage or any other reason in Educational certificate then attach the copy of Gazette for transfer of name or caste , failing which the candidate for the the further process will be rejected. 

  • Caste (Reserved category ) certificate of Gujarat state only will be considered.

  • Reserved category candidates will fulfill the qualifications and age criteria shall have to submit valid certificate issued by appropriate authority of Gujarat State.
  • EWS candidate who fulfill the qualifications and age criteria shall have to submit valid certificate as per resolution No. EWS/122019/45903/A dtd 23.01.2019 and dtd. 25.01.2019 in proscribed format issuued by the competent authority of Gujarat state. 
  • No traveling fare will be paid to any candidate for attending the written / online test as the case may be. 
  • The result of the last shall be published by PGVCL and shall be valid for the period of one year from the date of publication. 
  • Candidates are requested to apply only if they are fulfilling requisite criteria. Since, we are not seeking all the documents at the time of application submission written test candidate has to double ensure the he/she fulfills all the requisite criteria. All the documents of selected candidates shall be verified at appropriate stage and if found not fulfilling any criteria, his/her candidature shall be cancelled immediately and his/her short listing in selection list shall not be a ground for claiming employment / recruitment. 
  • The selected candidates shall posted in field office under the jurisdiction of PGVCL and shall be assigned work of Technical and other offices / field works. The candidate seleted for the post, shall not be transferred from PGVCL to any other Subsidiary company of GUVNL. 
  • In case of selection, the candidates have to fulfill the requisite physical fitness standards as per company's rules.
  • Any application, even under the R.T. I. Act, seeking any information , will not be entertained till the completion of the recruitment process. 
  • Applications who complete  all the task successfully of online application process shall be considered for further selection process.
