The New India Assurance Company Ltd., a leading public sector general insurance company, invites application for recruitment of 300 officers (generalists)  in scale I cadre from open market.

• candidates belonging to OBC category but coming in the 'CREAMY LAYER' are not entitled to obc reservation and age relaxation. They should indicate their category as GENERAL.
• The reservation under various categories will be as per prevailing government guidelines at the time of finalization of result
• Reservation of economically weaker section (EWS) in recruitment is governed by the office memorandum no. 360391/1/2019-Est (Res) dated 31.01.2019 of department of personal & training, ministry of personnel, public grievance & pensions, government of India and is subject to the income & Asset certificate being verified through the paper channels.

Nationality:-

A candidate applying for the recruitment in the company must be either -

(a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1stm January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of India origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (d) and shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification (as on 30.09.2021)

A candidate must possess the minimum qualification of a graduate/post graduate in any discipline from a recognized  university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by central government with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination for general candidat6es and at least 55% marks for sc/st/pwbd candidates. Candidates should possses certificate in proof of passing the qualifying examination as on 30.09.2021.

Those who are in the final year / semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have 30.09.2021 candidates having integrated dual degree (idd) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the idd is on before 30.09.2021

Note:

1. Educational qualification should be from a university/ institution/ board recognized by govt. of India/ approved by govt. regulatory bodies and the result should have been declared on or before 30.09.2021.
2. Proper document from board / university for having declared the result on or before 30.09.2021 has to be submitted at the time of interview.
3. The candidate must posses  valid mark-sheet / degree certificate of the necessary qualification as on 31.09.2021
4. The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester (s) year (s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any. This will be applicable for those Universities also where class / grade is decided on basis of the university regarding conversion of of grade into norms.

Age (as on 01.04.2021)

Minimum Age: years and maximum age 30 years, as on 01.04.2021

i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd Apr-1991 and not later than 1st Apr-2000 (both dates inclusive).

Relaxation in upper age limit shall be as follows:

1. ST/SC :- 5 Years
2. OBC (non creamy layer):- 3 Years
3. Ex. serviceman:- 5 Years
4. Person with benchmark Disabilities:- 10 Years 
   
5. Disabled in defense service:- 3 Years
6.  Existing confirmed employees of public sector general insurance companies:- 8 Years
